Dr. Sophia Yen will discuss perimenopause and explore how social media is shaping women’s health beliefs and decision-making, for better and for worse, and what clinicians and patients need to watch for in this new information ecosystem.
Dr. Yen will also introduce Maya—an AI character designed to reflect the collective voice and lived experience of women in midlife. Used responsibly, AI can help bridge the gap between information overload and trustworthy insight. This unique and innovative initiative from HERmedicine is intended to bring together empathy, science-backed education, and digital innovation to empower women. Maya’s mission is to make sense of peri/menopause by asking the right questions, cutting through misinformation, and connecting women with expert, evidence-based guidance from trusted voices in women’s health.
