Progestin 2.0 - Tami S. Rowen, MD, MS

Not all progestins are created equal — and the differences matter clinically. In this evidence-based session, Dr. Tami S. Rowen cuts through decades of conflation between synthetic progestins and bioidentical progesterone, providing clinicians with a practical framework for navigating today's expanding progestogen landscape. Drawing on the latest research in menopause management, sexual health, and gynecologic care for women with complex medical conditions, Dr. Rowen explores how progestogen selection impacts patient outcomes — from mood and libido to cardiovascular risk and endometrial protection. Whether you're managing menopausal hormone therapy, addressing sexual dysfunction, or caring for patients with chronic illness or cancer history, this session will sharpen your prescribing confidence and challenge assumptions you didn't know you had.
