Topical Estrogen for Midlife Skin: What Does the Data Say? - Ellen Gendler, MD

As estrogen levels decline, so does skin elasticity, hydration, and collagen—prompting increased interest in hormone-based topical therapies. In this evidence-focused session, Dr. Ellen Gendler will examine the role of topical estrogen in treating midlife skin changes. She’ll review the current literature on efficacy, safety, formulation considerations, and clinical relevance. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of whether—and when—topical estrogen has a place in dermatologic and menopausal skincare regimens.

Consistently named to New York Magazine’s Best Doctors list, she is widely respected for her work with neuromodulators and soft-tissue fillers, including Botox®, Dysport®, Juvederm®, Restylane®, and Radiesse®, as well as her expertise in cosmetic reactions and contact dermatitis.
