Steven R. Goldstein, MD, CCD, MSCP, FACOG, is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York University School of Medicine and an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, is one of the most highly recognized and regarded individuals in the field of vaginal probe ultrasound worldwide. For his pioneering work in menopausal and perimenopausal ultrasound, he was awarded the Ian Donald Gold Medal of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has designed uterine safety studies for several MHT products and Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators (SERMs). He is the developer of the Goldstein Catheter for saline infusion somnohysterography (SIS). He is a past president of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, as well as of The Menopause Society and the International Menopause Society. He is a prolific author, speaker, and huge advocate for midlife women's health.
