Update on Treatment of FSD - Sharon Parish, MD & Sheryl Kingsberg, PhD

Sharon Parish, MD, and Sheryl Kingsberg, PhD, will provide an update on the treatment of female sexual dysfunction (FSD), reviewing current evidence-based approaches and emerging therapies across the spectrum of sexual health concerns. They will discuss diagnostic frameworks, contributing biopsychosocial factors, and evolving treatment paradigms in both pre- and postmenopausal patients.
Dr. Parish and Dr. Kingsberg will also explore practical, patient-centered strategies for assessment, counseling, and management, including pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic options. This session is designed to support clinicians in delivering thoughtful, inclusive, and evidence-based sexual health care that meaningfully improves quality of life.

Sharon Parish, MD, is a Professor of Medicine in Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine and a leading clinician, researcher, and educator in women's sexual health, menopause, and hormone therapy. Her work focuses on the use of testosterone and other hormone therapies in midlife women, with particular emphasis on sexual health and overall well-being. Dr. Parish has contributed extensively to clinical guidelines, research initiatives, and provider education, advancing evidence-based approaches to hormone management across women's healthcare.

Sheryl Kingsberg, PhD, PhD, is Chief of the Division of Behavioral Medicine at University Hospitals MacDonald Women's Hospital and Professor in Reproductive Biology, Urology, and Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University. A clinical psychologist with over 30 years of research and clinical experience in female sexual health, her primary areas of specialization include female sexual dysfunction, genitourinary syndrome of menopause, and reproductive mental health. Dr. Kingsberg has served as Principal Investigator on multiple clinical trials evaluating treatments for female sexual disorders and has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and a co-edited multidisciplinary textbook on the treatment of female sexual disorders. She is an Associate Editor for Sexual Medicine Reviews and serves on the editorial boards of Menopause and Climacteric. Dr. Kingsberg is a past president of both The Menopause Society and the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health.
